DVR TROUBLES SHOTTING

Remote control does not work Visit via port mapping in the router configuration 1. Set the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, etc. of the DVR the same way as the network settings of the LAN. 2. Set the port mapping in "virtual server" in "forward rules". Enter 8000 in server port, fill in the IP address and enable the service. (80 Port mapping should be added if you visit via IE browser) 3. Apply for a DDNS(..........com/..........org), and set the DDNS of the router. Enter DDNS, user name and password in the host side of the DVR Visit via IE browser (http://suvideo.gicp.net:84) 1. Enter the IP address of the model in the address field. If the http port is altered, the new port number should be added. 2. A control should be downloaded and installed from the DVR first, otherwise, there will be no response after entering the name and password. If that happened, Select "Security" in the "internet options", and enable all of the ActiveX settings "Custom Level". Restore the settings after the access to the DVR. Client softwares improper settings 1. Add the device before preview, setting and other operations when use the client software 2. First enter "Device Management" in “Configuration", add a device in the upper right corner, it will bring up a dialog box. DVR can not be connected or the network is unstable 1. Network connection is unstable 2. Physical network connection is normal 3. Network configuration of DVR is improper 4. IP conflict 5. MAC address error 6. Computer or the DVR NIC is broken or INT DVR cannot control PTZ The PTZ will be out of control if one of the settings of the discoder(channel, communication protocol of the discoder, baud rate, address bits) is incorrect. 1. Front-end PTZ broken 2. RS-485 cable connection error, A, B ports are inversely connected. A is RS-485+, B is RS-485 - 3. PTZ decoder, protocol, baud rate, address are incorrect 4. Parallel connect a 120Ω resistance to resolve signal reflex issues caused by too many PTZs on the line 5. PTZ is too far away from the DVR 4. The RS-485 port on DVR is defective DVR startup failure or continuously reboot 1. Power is broken or power port INT 2. Unstable or low input voltage 3. Switching Power Supply not enough 4. Defective cooling , too much dust or harsh operating environment 5. The system has been damaged from a bad DVR update 6. There is an HDD error. Replace the faulty HDD 7. Main board failure. Contact your local supplier Can not find the HDD after power on 1. Power cable and the data cable are not connected 2. Power cable INT or the data cable INT 3. HDD cable broken 4. HDD Jumpers error 5. HDD broken 6. Port of SATA broken Blurred screen in preview mode 1. Poor connection of the BNC output and the monitor, the image is dim ,distorted or move up and down 2. NTSC/PAL settings of the DVR dose not match that of the camera. Image will be black and white, or move up and down 3. Impedance of the DVR does not mnatch the monitor.Image will be black and white and move up and down, adjust the monitor Impedance from 75Ω to 120Ω 4. Video transmission distance too far or too much attenuation of the video transmission line 5. DVR color, brightness and other settings are incorrect 6. There are strong electromagnetic fields near the DVR Blurred screen in playback mode or failure to playback records 1. Wrong date of DVR 2. Cable or jumpers of HDD is wrong 3. HDD broken 4. Program different from the original file system is upgraded 5. The record is coverd 6. Does not enable the record Local record blurred 1. The enviroment is too dark 2. Image quality sets too low 3. Program data reading failure or too low data code may cause mosaics on the iamge. Reboot the DVR,the image will be normal. 4. HDD cable or jumpers error 5. HDD broken 6. DVR hardware failure No sound while playing local record, monitoring or talkback 1. No active pickups 2. No active audio 3. Pickups or audio cable failure 4. DVR hardware failure 5. Audio does not correspond to the video channels or multi-images on screen. When iamge turns to be blue, it will be off while playback 6. Remote control enabled the talkback functions 7. Does not enable the voice option Web preview and video file playback filled with mosaics instead of image 1. Network flow is bad 2. Resource constraints of the computer 3. Masking area or channel protection are enabled 4. The user name does not have the monitoring authority 5. Preveiw Image quality is not good Time error 1. Setting error 2. When the data volume exceeds the backup device's max. capacity, it will lead to burning errors 3. The backup device is not compatible with the DVR 4. Backup device failure Can not disarm the alarm signal 1. Incorrect alarm settings 2. Alarm output is enabled manually 3. Alarm input device or linkage error 4. Program has to be upgraded to the latest version Alarm does not work 1. Alarm input status does not correspond to alarm settings of the DVR 2. DVR alarm output normal open or normal close does not correspond to the status of the linked device Mobile surveillance failure 1. Surpoort Andriod,sybiam,window mobile, Iphone,blackberry 2. Andriod,sybiam,window mobile ,blackberry mobile phones should install DMSS software. 3. Iphone could download the DMSS software from App 4. Please make sure that the network is open first. (Network must can communicate with the DVR) Email unsuccessful sending 1. DNS settings error 2. IP address port, user name or password error 3.
